This client's beautiful period country farmhouse bathroom required some sympathetic renovation. Though the concept of a wet room is quite modern in comparison to the age of the property, by carefully selecting the colours, tile design, furniture and textures, we were able to maintain a period feel whilst incorporating the benefits of modern living.
Taking into account the character of the property, this bathroom needed to feel like an extension of the rest of our client's home. The room shape presented its own quirks being much longer than wide and having a sloped ceiling at one end. We were able to utilise these characteristics to our advantage in design by placing the Carron bath at the end of the room where the ceiling lowers and fitting the wet room shower space at the tallest height of the bathroom space.
The four deep drawers in the Harrow wall hung vanity unit from Burbidge & Son provides plenty of storage space. Perfect for hiding away everyday bathroom products and storing towels.
In colour Mink, this unit is perfectly matched to the colour palette of the room. The solid timber crafted furniture, though traditional in Shaker style, also creates a sense of space due to its wall mounted design.
This Profile Duo bath by Carron is hand finished and reinforced using their Carronite patented, triple layered reinforcement system. The Carronite system creates an added strength and increased stability designed to last a lifetime, coming with a 30 year guarantee.
Customers can expect a higher level of comfort as Carronite baths are able to keep their water temperature levels hotter for longer due to their extra finishing layers.
