Our Services

With over 30 years’ experience in luxury bathroom design & renovation, The Bathroom Sanctuary’s expert team understand the trust and commitment our clients make when they choose to work with us on their new bathroom project. We appreciate there may be some apprehension at the thought of beginning a new bathroom renovation with the uncertainty often associated with the various specialist areas involved.

It is for these reasons that we like to work slightly differently. We endeavour to break down the full process into small, manageable stages which we guide you through, step by step. We find this makes the process much more enjoyable - knowing that important decisions don't all have to be made at once.

Our professional team of trusted fitters can take care of all aspects of your bathroom renovation project from plastering and tiling, plumbing and joinery, to electrical work, painting and decorating.

our 3 step process to create your bathroom sanctuary:

step 1

Converse

We always begin any bathroom renovation project at one single starting point; room layout and design. At The Bathroom Sanctuary, we believe that none of the in depth, complex considerations need begin until the right layout of the bathroom has been agreed. Achieving the right bathroom design is invaluable and exploring all options is an important investment of time at the start of your project.

We don’t rush the layout stage and never encourage any of our clients to ‘make-do’ with their existing layout if it is not working for them functionally. Though it may be true that changes of an existing room layout can increase costs, the benefit is a finished room which works perfectly for you and your needs.

We take the time to consider how to make good use of the space available, look at how the room is currently used, what could be done to improve this, and most importantly what you wish to achieve from the space.

STEP 2

Create

To help with the initial design and layout consultation we provide you with links to the designs we discuss at our Cottingham showroom. This provides you with the opportunity to go home, review your existing space and layout, reflect and discuss the new design suggestions with your family, and take time to consider the first decision of the bathroom renovation process.

Our 3D Articad-Pro visual design software provides 360 degree panoramic views. Throughout the process, you will have one single point of contact meaning continuity and consistency. Once the layout has been thoroughly explored and the final design decisions made, we are able to move onto the next phase. If you choose our full design, supply and installation service, the next stage is a home survey conducted by one of our experienced fitting teams.

At this visit all measurements are checked, the chosen layout reviewed, and necessary works to accommodate this would be verified along with any questions you may have. This visit also gives you the opportunity to meet your installer.

Once the secondary site survey has been completed (or if you have your own installer) we next move onto choosing bathroom goods. This would begin at a further one-to-one appointment at our showroom. From brassware colour choices to flush plate mechanisms and shower valve options, we also have a catalogue of original images from the extensive portfolio of bathroom renovations completed by The Bathroom Sanctuary to help visualise your choices.

step 3

Complete

Once design is complete, we agree a convenient installation date. From there you are able to sit back and relax in the knowledge that we have started the project management phase and are hard at work scheduling orders and deliveries to ensure all bathroom pieces arrive in plenty of time for the start of installation. For customers who have already sourced their own installation team, we are able to offer showroom collection at a convenient time.

Bathroom installations can vary in terms of expected completion times but as a minimum, we would expect at least two weeks depending on the size of the room and extent of the changes. You will be advised of an estimated time for completion when the fitting date is booked in.

Installation works begin with a complete bathroom rip-out. Arrangement of skip hire, removal of all waste and skips will be organised by your dedicated installer throughout the project. Once all works are completed you will be guided around the new room to ensure comfort and familiarity with the working of each product. After this transfer of care is completed, the room will be signed off between you and The Bathroom Sanctuary.

Aftercare is of paramount importance to us and as a village showroom, we are fortunate to continue to see our customers as they pass by and we very much enjoy seeing our customers long after all works are completed. All installation works are guaranteed for one year from completion and each bathroom product has it’s own individual warranty. We encourage you to always contact us in the first instance, no matter how much time has elapsed, so we can work on your behalf to resolve any issues as quickly as possible.
